Get Ready to Feel the Salt Water in Your Hair!
Although it may not be my cup of tea, Kelly Slater’s Pro Surfer is a very original sports game, giving it something that is at least a must play. Kelly Slater’s Pro Surfer has a variety of different levels, but unlike Tony Hawk’s skate parks, Kelly Slater’s Pro Surfer has just the waves, the waves differ depending on the level your at, and the creators say you will never see the same wave twice. Although the Xbox and PS2 have some surfing games, this would be Gamecube’s first (and if you ask me it blows other surfing games out of the water. It also boasts some nice graphics for the Gamecube (although the Xbox version is better) and sound as well. Unlike most extreme sports games, Kelly Slater’s Pro Surfer has a storyline, however small that may be; it is still better than nothing. All ... It’s a totally decent game.
I personally really like this game. But there’s not much too it. Simple and repetitive level design. Not much to the career mode. But I like the game mechanics and controls. It’s peaceful to play. But that’s basically the extent of it.

Great game for surfing/ocean fans. Kelly Slater or a slew of other surfers can be played. Waves range from little 3-4 footers to Double Overhead+. Bust some air, or slow down and pull into a tube. Very cool game. I bought game for the gamecube, which I can play on my Wii with gamecube controllers. Purchased it Used, and totally worth the price paid. Still would be worth 2-3x what I paid. A steal of a deal for the 8.50 I paid. If your looking for a good surfing game, I highly recommend this one. Wish there was a way to use my Wii remotes, but I can only play the gamecube game on a gamecube (which I do not have), or on my Wii with gamecube controllers. This game can also be found for the regular XBOX. Not sure about Playstation. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this game an 8.5Great game for surfing/ocean fans.
