Product Information

The first North American video game based on the live-action superhero series, Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight for Wii and DS is a combat adventure that allows play as all 13 Kamen Rider heroes, including Kit Taylor (Dragon Knight), Len (Wing Knight), and Maya (Siren). Set in the mirror world of Ventara, the game is broken up into more than 60 discrete missions, which are tied together by an overarching plot based on the events of the television series. By successfully completing missions and side-quests, players can earn new Advent cards, which can be used to strengthen their character in future missions and in other modes of play. Each enabled by a unique Advent Deck, Kamen Rider characters can use their distinct Contract Beasts and special abilities in battle against the evil followers of the wicked General Xaviax, and sometimes even against one another. In the Wii edition of the game, two players can battle head-to-head in an exclusive versus mode.

Guard mode sucks, Guard mode sucks, Guard mode sucks, Guard mode SUCKS!!!
The game is a modified game of the japanese climax hero and after playing this game it's not as simple as it looks. But when you break it down the game is a very simplistic brawler. Some design choices are unfaithful to the show such as getting interrupted when using cards, which creates many frustrating moments especially when you try to perform your finisher. This game could have been better except it didn't. Also... Guard mode SUCKS! It's a terrible frustrating challenge and the programmers must have had brain injuries to create something this stupid. Clearing out enemies should have just been in a single boxed area because it is so boring. Music is very dull and doesn't even have the courtesy of having the dragon knight opening theme on the title screen(Unless you have to wait for ... But overall despite the bad design choices, this game is worth a purchase for some local multiplayer. Unless you have a japanese wii console to play the actual climax hero games, than this is as close as American can get to playing that game here.
