Fantastic paper-engineered pop-up book
This is a gem - a really special pop up book. A must have if you like paper engineering or the 12 days of Christmas - there’s motion I can’t capture in photos that will delight readers as they turn each page. Also…there might be sound? I wasn’t expecting this, but there’s a little battery case in the book to suggest something electronic. Have not gotten that element to work yet. But for pop-up figures alone - 10/10 anything else is gravy.This is a gem - a really special pop up book. SABUDA'S 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS
This is a fabulous book. To call it "pop up" would be putting it lightly for this is an incredible work of art. The pages for each of the 12 Days of Christmas literally pop up and out of the framework of the book with the most intricate detail you could even imagine. Being a collector of the 12 Days and partridges, I could not resist the first edition of this book, but to have the celebration edition is something else. The book literally comes alive for the reader. And making it extra special, it is dedicated to a long time friend of the community in which we lived for 26 years, Midland, Michigan. Nancy LaMott, a cabaret singer died of ovarian cancer long before her time and was a good friend of Robert Sabuda.This is a fabulous book. A Great Find !
This was a special purchase as my brother & his wife had bought this for my grandchildren years ago & they loved it . When it got lost in the mess of Xmas decorations one years they were heartbroken & you can't buy any old copy of this book as some have a tree that surprises them at the end & fully lights up . We found this one used in perfect condition & in working order with the TREE ! I now know The 12 Days Of Christmas backwards & forward & it was worth every penny ..........This was a special purchase as my brother & his wife had bought this for my grandchildren years ago & they loved it . If you have the original book from 1996, I encourage you to seek out a copy of this edition (readily available on Ebay) to share in these little surprises. There isn't a better way to enjoy the holidays than sit with a youngster and go through this book.
