Led by the heart-faced, dimpled singer Belinda Carlisle, the band took a 10-year hiatus from the stage. LIVE IN CENTRAL PARK captures their triumphant return to touring. Filmed in New York's beautiful, massive park, the concert showcases the Go-Go's performance of old and new songs, including "Head Over Heels," "Vacation," and "We Got the Beat."

    "Bet you'd live there, if you could, and be one of us"

    Brilliant performance, great setlist mixing old and newer material, and excellent behind the scenes footage in the extras. A must have for any Go-Go's fan. Obviously.

    Go-Gos Live In Central Park

    If you love the 70-80s music scene you will love this DVD. The premiere all girls band the Go-Gos put on a dynamite show. Very good footage of all the ladies in the band, Jane Wiedlin's angelic vocals and strong guitar tones, Belinda Carlisles strong lead vocals, and the rest of the groups strong sounds make this a must for Go-Gos fans. Highly reccommend this DVD.

    Wake me up before you go-go

    It's actually a very good concert and the video and audio are excellent. Everything is bright, sharp and clear. A really fine recording of an brilliant performance.

    Better with Age

    I have the 1984 Go-Go's DVD of their performance at the Greek in LA. It was one of their last performances before their breakup in 85. The 2001 DVD is probably the Go-Go's at their peak. They cover the fine album God Bless the Go-Go's along with their old favorites. Sadly I saw them this year on their 25th anniversary tour and although they were great, they only played one song (Skidmarks) from the God Bless the Go-Go's album. It appears that they are retreating to their older songs and this DVD is the only example that I am aware of which they play their old and new songs. It really is an amazing performance.

    Go-Go's still got it!

    I mean, it's the Go-Go's! They still rock after all these years! Of course, I love the classics, but their new songs are fantastic. This is a must for any Go-Go's fan, or for those of us who were fortunate enough to live our teenage years in the '80s.
