Pioneer VSX-821-K quick review!
This is a great 5 channel receiver! Not the easiest to use without a owners manual, being I picked it up used, but once you figure out how to set it up it's awesome. Just make sure you have a owners manual and a set up microphone to get the most out of it! I've never had a better receiver until I upgraded into a larger 7 channel VSX-1121-K. Same capabilities but 2 extra channels of power allowing me to Bi-amp my mains as I'm still running a 5.1 surround set up. The VSX-821-K is actually a 5.2 surround reciever as it has dual subwoofer outputs. Another nice feature of the both the 821 and 1121 is the number of RCA inputs and outputs. Nice for hooking up older CD and DVD players as the newer designs have only HDMI inputs and outputs. With these slightly older models you get everything you ... This is a great 5 channel receiver! Paid less than $100 for athe clean used VSX-821-K and under $200 for the VSX-1121-K. Just make sure you get a owners manual and set up Mic for either model! The owners manual is needed to figure out all the features and the set up Mic really helps to get your speakers sounding ideal!

Best Receiver I have ever owned and I have bought only Sony products past.
Great, great, great... I've owned a lot of Sony receivers in the past with no complaints. I just could not for the money and the power and the bells and whistles justify another Sony when going Hi-Def. This 821 is the answer and the I-Pod receiver attachment is just perfect. On most models it is a $50-$100 additional piece of equiptment. It is just an attachment and a button on the 821 remote. I love this thing. I've had it 6 months now and still figuring out the finer points of this product. I am having a very good time realizing the full potential of this receiver. Mucho connections
Good stereo receiver! It has hookups for just about anything you might need them for. Also, a MULTITUDE of speaker options. That is the only reason I reduced it’s “easy to use” rating. I’m very pleased with this purchase.
