Absolutely magnificent for children and adults.
Absolutely beautiful book, faithfully and accurately retells hundreds of Bible stories with their theological content and lessons, without embellishing or reinterpreting them. I would call this more an Illustrated Bible told in story-form, not just Bible Stories. Comes with gorgeous illustrations. Follows the books of the Bible, so it is easy to see from where in the Bible the stories are taken. It seems the editors found every single story in the Bible to include; it even recounts Jesus' parables and Paul's journeys, epistles and speeches. A Book you can trust
I was looking for a Bible for my kids and none came close to this classic favorite. I've read some reviews on different sites before ordering and found out that this little book from the childhood kept many safe and from going astray later on in life as the way it is put together is easy to follow. Quality Reading for the Family
My son is in the 2nd grade, and is now learning to read. For part of his reading home work he has to be read to. After some thought I decided to look for the same bible that I was given as a child and never read!! I could only remember some of the stories my grandmother read to us as kids. This book is beautifully illustrated, and many of the pictures still stuck out in my mind so many years later. This book is well written, and is very easy for children to not only understand but also stay interested in.
