Makes a cheap massive NAS possible
3 personnes sur 4 ont jugé cet avis utile. I've got 12 of these in a Dell R510 for 96TB of raw storage running Freenas. They are 5400RPM drives so they're not exactly blazing fast. But they work good enough for a big NAS, and seem to be reliable.
Side note: they are NOT NOT NOT hot-swapable. I killed 2 drives thinking they could be hot swapped. At a minimum you need to deactivate / spin them down before yanking them from a running system.
