À propos de ce produit

Product Information

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, developer Infinity Ward aims to ratchet up the intense first-person gunplay, graphical verisimilitude, and deep multiplayer experience that won the original title wide acclaim from critics and consumers alike, while at the same time adding to the overall package with the new, fast-paced "SpecOps" mode. The single-player campaign picks up where Call of Duty 4 ended, with gamers once again descending into the shadowy world of terrorists, arms dealers, and nationless armies. Players take on the role of Sergeant Gary "Roach" Anderson, an elite member of the multinational Task Force 141 and subordinate of one of Call of Duty 4's protagonists, John "Soup" MacTavish.<br><br>Task Force 141 is on the trail of Vladimir Makarov, a maniacal disciple of Imran Zakhaev, who has used the death of his mentor as a means of expanding his own base of power. Missions find gamers working off sketchy intelligence as they battle whiteout conditions in the jagged mountains of Russia and Kazakstan, shuffle though expansive desert and cave environments in Afghanistan, and weave between City of God-like Brazilian slums, where misfires result in dead civilians and a failed mission. As was the case in Call of Duty 4, Modern Warfare 2 supplies players with the most technologically advanced weapons, vehicles, and accoutrements available, including SCAR-H rifles, snowmobiles, and heartbeat sensors.<br><br>The new "SpecialOps" mode brings gamers more than 20 fast-paced missions inspired by the frenzied mid-fuselage gunfight at the end of Call of Duty 4. Players find themselves racing snowmobiles, battling a huge number of enemies at once, or simply attempting to get in and out of a building without dying, and missions can be played solo, in local split-screen co-op, or online with a friend. Those looking for more online action can also take on the "Free-for-All," "Demolition," "Domination," "Search & Destroy," "Capture the Flag," and "Team Deathmatch" multiplayer modes.<br><br>The much-lauded RPG-like system of doling out experience points and unlockable rewards returns in Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer modes, but Infinity Ward has also included a number of new wrinkles to spice up the action. Maps are designed to be both more expansive and more vertical; weapons feature a variety of new attachments; new "Pro Perks" let players gain more stopping power, greater speed, or automatic health boosts; and gamers who manage to string together a number of kills gain access to the new "killstreaks" system, which lets them call for seven different kinds of heavy-duty support, including supply drops, helicopter gun attacks, and unmanned aerial vehicle strikes.

I'm a bit late to the Xbox 360 Call of Duty scene. An avid "Wii" and "Wii U" COD player because of Wii Motion controls, I recently discovered a way to utilize Wii Motes (with Wii Zapper) on the Xbox 360 (thanks, CronusMax Plus). Since then, my Advanced Warfare and Black Ops 2 games are like "new" again as I can play with a Wii controller and not a standard Xbox controller. This inspired me to buy Modern Warfare 2, rated by most COD fans as the best COD game of all time. An avid "Team Deathmatch" (or online) player, I'm always ready to see new maps and find new ways to defeat the enemy team while supporting my "brothers" in this simulated shoot 'em up game. It is fun, the graphics are solid considering the year it was produced and I'm just staring to level up to unlock skins, perks and ...

  • The epic saga of call of duty 4!!!

The modern warfare franchise is mainly thanks to Infinity Ward.Since Infinity Ward's first appearance with Call Of Duty 4,it's been a huge hit. When Modern Warfare 2 was released, gamers were exploding with excitment. The campaign of this game is overly exciting. It does have over-powered guns, but that doesn't make this game bad. The campaign isnt to long or to short. It should probably take an average of 7-11 days to complete for regular average gamers. The multiplayer is the big hit in Modern Warfare 2. It has good graphics which are better then Black Ops graphics.Black ops did cut down the levels to 50 and modern warfare 2's levels are at 70, but it doesnt mean this game is bad. Also Modern Warfare 2 has quickscoping unlike Black Ops.Quickscoping is a huge plus in Modern Warfare ...

  • Great Game off line -- TOO MANY CHEATS ON LINE

It's a GREAT GAME with lots of action until you take it to Xbox Live. Then you have to deal with every Cheat and Hacker in the world which totally ruins the game. There are tens of thousands of idiots with cheats like "aimbots" which allow them to make perfect shots every time. Then you have the enhanced controllers sold on eBay and elsewhere that allows them to shoot faster, run faster, jump higher, and can even "lag or slow-down" the game to give them a few seconds of invincibility or nearly impossible to hit. Then you have sellers on Xbox selling cheats called "infection" that allow them to "see through walls", follow your gamer tag every where you go, light you up in a red box no matter how concealed you are and then has a pointing laser which means they only have to point close ...

  • It's....pretty nice

I just bought this game for a friend but I do have it and me and him play together. The game has a great story mode but, it is way way way to short. It only takes about 5 hours to be it even if you had never played the game before. On-line play is pretty good. I think my connection is not always very good and therefore I would knife someone but they would kill me. On their kill cam it showed that I never knifed him. Overall it is a game that I would recommend to people who like military-like games but don't like to spend a lot of time just trying to beat a level or beat the game. It also would be awesome if it had some sort of multi-player campaign mode instead of just co-op spec ops. I know they are probably just trying to make CoD one of the most enjoyable single player games but, it ...

  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Review by KNjVEZ

Call of Duty: Modern Warare 2 Review Campaign: There is a word I hear more often than not when talking to fellow gamers about Modern Warfare 2s campaign. While it may seem ignorant and somewhat missplaced with the ever growing arsenal of teched-out super weapons, I feel the campaign can be summed up with this one word: Chaos! Die-hard fans of the previous Duty installment find themselves hard-pressed to call their actions tactical in this sequel. That is not to say action its not welcome. However, a touch of the 'tone down sitck' seems more than neccesary. Infinity Ward seems to have attempted to go too big, too fast. Never a dull moment, as you're dodging fire from endles hoards of enemies weilding the 'die for the cause' AI. (That's regardless of the difficulty you choose, mind you.) ...
