Great music for LOTR fans
The cd set is really nice, I was pleased that it came with so many cards! The music is pleasant, it's a good mix of the instrumentals and the vocals that were in the movie. my family and I play it when we play the lord of the rings board game, and it really lends the atmosphere!

Annie Lennox is a world treasure!
As brilliant, profoundly moving and breathtaking a musical accomplishment as Howard Shore's score for the entire movie is, three full CD's of it in one sitting is a bit hard to handle. Worth every minute of it to be sure, and fully congruent with the emotions and memories each of the film's scenes depicts, 216.18 minutes of listening is none the less a longer stretch than one might wish to attempt. What I DID buy the entire score for however was the last cut on the last of the three CD's, to wit Annie Lennox' performance of "Into The West" (cut #19 , disc #3) which is available nowhere else! Great collection of music.
I always loved the music from the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I always listen to them on Amazon music so I wanted to buy the CD's for myself. This is a great collection. After all my research this is the set to have. If you enjoy the LOTR music you won't be disappointed in this set.
