Product Information

Since 2000, THQ and Namco have been producing similarly titled motorcycle racing games based on the MotoGrandPrix series, a seasonal racing series for motorcycles similar to Formula 1 or NASCAR. THQ's MotoGP: Ultimate Racing Technology 3 looks to put some distance between itself and the competition by offering a slew of new features, as well as a more distinguishable name. Most notable of the new features is the "Extreme" mode of play. Inspired by "TT-style" street racing, this mode includes 16 new city and suburban tracks based on real race locations from all over the world. Players may choose to tear tarmac down the Day-Glo-lit streets of Japan, or spray dirt in the competition's face while racing down the country back roads of Donington, UK. Along with the new race locations comes a selection of new bikes. Modeled after real-world motorcycles, these latest additions range in power from 600cc "sprinters" to 1200cc "superbikes." Other modes of play include "Quick Race," "Grand Prix," "Time Trial," "Training," and "Multiplayer," which supports split-screen action for up to four players. Other new features include advancements made to online gameplay that allow for up to 16 online players in the same race. Three new online modes have been added -- "Embedded," "Spectator," and "Commentator." Embedded play is designed to allow players to slip seamlessly from single-player to online action, by simply being connected to Xbox Live or via broadband on the PC. Embedded gameplay also features a seeding system designed to create a more competitive online environment by discouraging experienced players from racing against beginners. Spectator mode allows players to watch as the race unfolds instead of sitting idly by in the lobby, while Commentator mode allows the host of an online session to choose a spectating player to comment on the racing action.

I was addicted to the GP2 back then. so I bought the GP3 version Not much a big improvement from the previous version of the amazing gp2. The graphics are a little bit better. Sure that every thing in the game is updated to year 2003( Rossi in yamaha,biaggi in cammel honda and so...) I dont know why but I didnt find myself racing in the extreme challenges but only the GP career mode or the quick race options( may be it just me...). It feel similar to the GP2 while riding the bikes-which is great !!!. For those who loved the GP2 version and feel a summarization,May be it would be nice to have this kind of expirience once again. For the cheap price, a very cool game, I'm just starting, so its hard to keep from crashing while still learning the controls - just like the real thing! great graphics and runs smooth on my laptop. Every race recorded and can reviewed from many angles, even the onboard bike cam. How else can you highside a 200 hp superbike while doing bong hits in your underwear, and live to tell the story?

Not for simualtion buffs
I bought this program since it was the latest motorcycle racing game. The graphics are quite good. It has the all the GP tracks and street racing as well. But you can tell this is a X-Box title converted to PC. Its realy an glorified arcade game. The control of the bike, or the lack there of is the downfall of this game. Its not a simulation but just an arcade game.

My Favorite Moto GP 3
Like the view and handling in Moto GP 3 better than in later versions of the series.

Good fun Game
I had played an early version and it was fun. So I ordered a newer version. The detail is better and harder because it`s more realistic.
