Ford F-150 Truck Door Handle Cable Ends Repair Kit, (8 Ends) #2B6A
I purchased the 2B6A kit for my 2004 F-150 lariat super cab. Both rear doors had suddenly failed on me! I looked around and was looking at $212 plus labor a piece with Ford OEM and a dealership! So probably close to a grand all told in a repair bill for both doors. As a very small computer repair owner, that was not a real option. I found these and was ecstatic! I ordered them on a Sunday and just installed them this past Sunday. Worked like a charm and cost isn't even mentionable considering OEM replacement costs noted. I am so far very satisfied with the product and company. Items came with very good instructions and packaging for what they are. With that said, there are a few minor mentionables of note. I would have on hand a flat and round jewelers files as the ends could use a "small" ... I purchased the 2B6A kit for my 2004 F-150 lariat super cab. Both rear doors had suddenly failed on me! I would have on hand a flat and round jewelers files as the ends could use a "small" amount of filing to round over the edges where the cable comes out at the end. Due to design the ends do not fit ultra tight to the steel clip and can somewhat conform to the cables direction. This can lead to rubbing of the steel cable if not attentive. I chose to use a very small amount of liquid nails to ensure the ends did not rotate or wiggle much but this is a preference and not required. I did have to file down some small manufacturing burrs I did not like but again this is being very nit picky from a veteran Air Force Hydraulic troop. The only other thing of note was to get a good diagram of your door, I chose the $26 option of AlldataDIY. The job is very doable even for a novice but can seem daunting if you don't have a diagram and have never worked on a vehicle before. The diagram allows you to think through things before breaking any plastic parts or thinking that the jobs going to take all day. Plan it, Diagram it, get the tools ready and use the enclosed pamphlet instructions! Then in 30 minutes your back on the road much better than new!

Ford Ranger Suicide Door Repair Kit
Wow! After watching a video on the Ford Ranger Forum, I was able to track down this kit with OK Marketplace. Product is well made and replaces the existing rubber stops perfectly. The door handle was easy to do and was a snap. The upper latch is a bit trickier even with the CAM ends. There was not enough of the bare cable exposed to slip the CAM end on the cable. One method calls for bending the tab of the latch out to get to the cable but I don't recommend that method. Instead, release the spring holding in the latch in place, and then you can work the cable end out of the stop. Once you do this you will have enough cable exposed to slip the CAM end over the cable. Now just work the cable stop back into the latch, reset the spring and voila! you have fixed the upper latch. My ... Wow! Perfect fix
These repair ends work perfectly for ford door cables! I purchased a set to repair the rear doors on my 4dr ranger. Took about 45 minutes to install each side. Not only do these repair the original cable but they fix it better than before. The ends provided with the cam style on them for the upper latch are well designed and make a difficult replacement very easy. You do need decent mechanical skills to do this job but if you have worked with these ford cables before then you should have no problem. Good Installation was easy and was completed in a timely manner as advertised and an excellent value. Bad: I saw an opportunity for the cam lock to disengage on re- installation of the lock assembly due to the cable has a memory bend. To avoid the cam connection from disengaging an adhesive or silicon can be applied to the contact face and on the outside area opposite of the open slit. If your in a hurry tape can be used on top of the adhesive to hold into place during installation. There was no mention of using blue-Loc-tite on the screws that hold the door latches in place as the OEM assembly plant used the thread locker on the original assembly.Good Installation was easy and was completed in a timely manner as advertised and an excellent value. What Ford should have installed
These cable end repair pieces work great but they're not easy to install, however, once installed they work great. My only complaint is this company's quality control. They make two styles on there repair pieces, of the eight they sent me, 7 were of one style and one of another. Should have either all been the same or split 4 and 4.
