Item is great. Wanted to change ship to and had to cancel and redo. Issue was it was canceled, and reordered. Did this within 5 minutes of initial purchase. They shipped the unit out before they looked at the cancelation notice, thus received 2 units. They were easy to work with on refunding money and helping with shipping label.

    Far and Away "THE" Best Doobies Studio Album

    Michael Douglas in the movie "Romancing the Stone" read an old Rolling Stone magazine and exclaimed, "Ohhhh mannn, the Doobie Brothers split up". The Doobies (the first incarnation not the later Michael McDonald reincarnation) were indeed loved by rock fans. I recall that at the time their music was described as "biker rock". No shortage of guitar strings rippling through their songs which generally teetered between hard rock and pop with some of the songs exhibiting country rock and folk rock influences. "The Captain and Me," was absolutely their best studio effort. At the time of it's release, I had it on 8-track's continuous loop for protracted high volume listening pleasure while driving my muscle car down open country roads with ...

    THE DOOBIE BROTHERS - THE CAPTAIN AND ME : The best Doobies there is

    THE CAPTAIN AND ME is arguably the finest Doobie Brothers album of all time. It contains two of their most emblematic hit songs "China Grove" and "Long Train Runnin'". You simply cannot hear the opening bars of China Grove and not think Doobie Brothers right away. To my tastes, this album is their strongest in the areas of well-written songs lyrically and musically, great performance and it all just comes together as a suite of unforgettable music. There is no track on this album that is a throw-away. They're all great in their own right. This album is a timeless treasure and the group's signature classic. If you like the pre-Michael McDonald sound of the Doobie Brothers, this album is a must-have.

    This Is Another GREAT Doobie Brothers CD

    Fantastic Cd Which Should have Had at Least 2 Number One Song's on it China Grove which Peaked at #15 And Long Train Runnin' Which Peaked at #8 But You Will Still Love Every Song On this CD

    The Captain and Me by The Doobie Brothers

    This is by far and away, the best Doobie Brothers effort. The band has changed their line-up many times over the years but the band members that comprised this album truly defined the real Doobie Brothers sound which has clearly stood the test of time. With a magical sense of musical ability "The Captain and Me" stands alone as The Doobie Brothers timeless classic album.

    Great CD !!! I had a copy of this CD in cassette many years ago, so I ordered the sound track in a new format.
