The heaviest thing you could hear in Spanish at that time (that was well recorded) Shipping was fast!
"Raza Odiada" is the second studio album by the extreme metal band Brujeria, released in 1995. The things that struck me about this record the first time I heard it was:
1. Controversial lyrics: Brujeria is known for their provocative and politically charged lyrics. In "Raza Odiada," they tackle subjects such as immigration, violence, and racism. The lyrics, in Spanish and English, often contain explicit language, generating controversy and sparking debates surrounding the band.
2. Hidden identities: Brujeria has kept the identities of its members secret throughout the years. In "Raza Odiada," the members hid behind fake names and masks, adding an element of mystery and anonymity to the band.
3. Notable collaborations: The album features notable guest appearances, such as vocalist Billy Gould from Faith No More, who contributed to the track "La Ley De Plomo." There is also a special appearance by Dino Cazares of Fear Factory on the song "Asesino."
4. Extreme sound and style fusion: "Raza Odiada" is recognized for its brutal and aggressive sound, blending elements of death metal, grindcore, and Latin music. The mix of heavy riffs, fast-paced rhythms, and lyrics in Spanish and English gave Brujeria a unique musical identity.
5. Provocative cover art: The album's cover features a controversial illustration depicting an armed child with a machete and a gun, along with other elements related to violence and Mexican culture. This image has sparked debates and criticism for its graphic representation.
6. Reception and legacy: "Raza Odiada" was well-received by fans of extreme metal and helped establish Brujeria as an influential band in the genre. Their distinctive fusion of styles and provocative lyrics left a lasting impact on the metal and Spanish rock scene.
These curiosities highlight some interesting and controversial aspects of Brujeria's album "Raza Odiada," showcasing how the band addressed social and political issues through their music and made a lasting impact on the music scene.

Jelusick Rules!
I would say that this is the best rock album of 2023, believe me, I have bought most of the albums by my favorite bands that came out this year, I have been listening to this music in a music-loving way for over 30 years. Up Croatia! Up Jelusick! What a formidable artist.
