Professional Quality Compass
The design and how this compass is put together is correct in terms of quality control. The readings you attain with this compass will be absolutely correct if you know how to use this compasses features. The user has to know how to use the mirror and sighting line correctly in conjunction with transposing the magnetic needle withing the hollow orienting arrow. This skill is critical in order to attain a correct heading.
With any liquid filled compass do not ever severely bang, pound or shake the liquid fill capsule. This will bring forth the air bubbles that are in the liquid. This is like shaking carbonated water or soda in order to bring out the air bubbles. Once air-bubbles are introduced into a liquid damped compass, then that capsule has to be replaced. This is a well made compass, but do not abuse them to hard.

Well made twisted cord waxed nylon Awl Thread.
This is a well made leather sewing Awl Thread, which is made of twisted, corded waxed nylon. Definitely heavier than clothing sewing tread and is manufactured differently than waxed nylon artificial sinew. I do a lot of canvas and leather sewing, and the tiny spools of Awl Thread I would burn through quickly.

Earpieces made of better materials than foam earpieces
I was looking to replace my old disintegrated foam earpieces with a better made and durable product made from better materials.The earpieces fit a little loose on my old MDR-010 Sony walkman headphones, and they prevent the ear speaker portion from digging into my head after I fall asleep listening to music. The old foam pads did not prevent this, and they would first thin out ten tear. I am hoping to many years of use out of these earpieces.
