Hinge works well, is necessary with #50 blades
I own a Oster Model 10 clipper that was made in the 1950's. It uses Number 50 blades. The clipper is still in great working condition. However, I wanted to purchase the remake of the Model 10, which which Oster did in 2013. When I received the clipper, it had a different hinge which didn't allow me to use the #50 blades. I did some research and found that by purchasing the #042840 hinge, I could take the hinge on the new clippers off and replace it with the #042840 hinge. Now I can use my #50 blades as well as the blades for the Oster Classic 76. Thank god it worked out and I'm back cutting hair with them, very pleased.
