Gets more interesting as you read it.
It's an interesting story with many details about how different politicians operate. The title was certainly compelling given the current political climate.

Not exactly a page turner.
The story of "The Pearl Thief" is interesting although the ending is predictable. McIntosh does a wonderful job describing scenes and architecture but her four main characters and dialogue are weak, which is disappointing in a near 500-page book.

A helpful reference that provides direction
I enjoyed this book so much that I purchased about 10 of them to give as gifts to people who are stuck. It "works" best if you read only a few pages at a time to really consider each approach.
