Like it a lot, but ...

Not clear it charges while playing or not. I use it in my old car with an adapter to get songs via the tape player. Its on a cigarette lighter socket charger that only only works when the car is running. Player's battery went dead last week and it wouldn't work on the car charger. I had to let it charge on AC power for what seemed a long time to get it to activate again.
