1/700 Scale Wooden Deck for Meng PS-008 RMS Titanic Model Kit

this set advances the kit from toy-looking to a model.

The color and finish are great looking. It is cut to go with the kit; if you use the photo-etch supplement, you'll have to add pieces where stuff has been removed. I noticed this when playing with the forward well deck. When the three stairs are removed, a footprint is left that is not covered by the wood. I haven't tried to add any deck parts yet, but my trying some of the pieces looks like they are designed to fit the model very well. I have already lost two pieces and needed to order a second set, so be careful with the pieces.

I had hoped that this hue would work as ...

I had hoped that this hue would work as the primary color for the 1/700 Titanic and Olympic ship models that I'm working on. It looks very close, if not right on. It looks right for many applications where I might want a slightly off-white.
