Sci-fi at its best.
Buckle your seatbelts the 3D is awesome. Great plot and very imaginative. .

Bernstein And Cast Soar
I have loved opera over sixty years and have heard Fidelio performed dozens of times. None of those performances came close to this production. The soloist's , chorus and musicians under the baton of Leonard Bernstein has to be heard as surely this is perfection. Since this was a 1978 recording I was concerned the sound quality might be somewhat lacking however, The DVD was upgraded to DTS and sounds as if it was newly recorded. It' Wonderful !!!

Best comic opera ever!
Virtuosic performances by every soloist, chorus and orchestra. The filming and costumes are superb as well as the production. I found myself belly laughing several times and can't get the wonderful melodies out of my head. Rossini would have been proud.
