One bent
One was bent and it broke when I tried to straighten.
I now have one short one.

Good for electro and chemically sensitive people.
6 personnes sur 6 ont jugé cet avis utile. This is for warming only and works great for that. At 800 watts it isn't suitable for heating a cold room.
These will start a fire if covered with a blanket or sheet. Not for kids.
There is no fan and no noise or vibration even when warming up or cooling off.
Heat is constant mild red orange well focused warmth. One heater would not usually be enough for primary heat. I use it to warm a corner in my living room on 400 watts.
No pulsed EMFs as there is no thermostat. EMFs measured by Tri Field meter drop under 3 milligaus at 3 feet. That is acceptable to most people.
An ordinary extension cord could be OK if not covered or heat insulated (the cord can get warm and plastic electrical insulation melt). Two heaters would be too much for a 16 gauge cord.
Only mod needed is to mark the triangle pointer on the front. I used a Sharpie under the stove hood with the fan on high.
After a few years typically the 400 rod will burn out then the 800 becomes 400 and still works by itself without modification.
Initial offgassing was easy. Remove transparent warning tapes, it is low odor tape and peels off clean. Place on stove top under hood and run fan on high for a half hour then low with heater on 800 watts. Radiant heat will go mostly into kitchen. Four hours on 800 watts burn off most of the odor, which mostly smelled like petroleum used on sheet metal. You may need to run it longer depending on your sensitivity. Do this when outside air is best as it will suck air inside.
It doesn't smell after 12 hours of use unless I don't use it on 800 for awhile and then there is some burnt dust odor from what landed on the unused rod.
I've used mine for about a month.
I ordered two more because I'm afraid they will stop making them. It's very hard to find things that work for me - then they stop making them.
