Seems to be working!

Seems to be working but only time will tell... Was easy to use by following instructions... you must have a basic idea of how an AC system works and some tools to handle your system's valves. There are tutorials on Youtube.

Disappointed!

I bought this, to replace a SYLVANIA 250 Watt Infrared heat lamp I bought some 7 years ago. This by no means is a replacement. The heat output of this is much less --unacceptably less! The filament support is flimsy, and the disc backing the support --which is supposed to keep white light from leaking backwards, is mispositioned (at an angle less than perpendicular to the bulb's axis) which apparently, is a manufacturing defect. So much white light is escaping out the back that in my opinion, this does not qualify for a red, IR heat lamp. It keeps animals awake!

OK so far

Used it to replace a similar door sensor for a security system, and works fine! Good price, good seller response.
