Nintendo Gamecube SONIC RIDERS Game COMPLETE (Black Label)

A fun, albeit misdirected, challenge

Sonic Riders is a hard game, not entirely because of the levels or the concept, but because of the sometimes frustrating gameplay. It feels so static, so fake. When I started playing it, I felt that it would be a fun challenge, but by the time I completed it I realized all I had done was got a grip on should-be trivial things such as steering or jumping. This game also doesn’t hold its own as a Sonic game due to how slow it seemed. Let’s be honest: Sonic the Hedgehog is all about speed, that’s what fans love about it. But this game was kind of slow in its levels, I mean like there was no sense of speed at all. So basically the two main targets for this game (Racing game fans and Sonic fans) will sorely be disappointed, the former for lack of control and frustrating gameplay, and the latter for lack of speed. As for me personally though, I kinda enjoyed it. It was a fun challenge and I really felt good by the time I actually beat it. :D

Japanese Nintendo Gamecube, works great. I must admit, Smash Bros and Zelda kept it from failing entirely, but still a great console.
