Fantastic game!
1 personnes sur 1 ont jugé cet avis utile. A masterpiece! Stubbs the Zombie shares a game engine with Halo: Combat Evolved, and Wideload games (now long gone, I'm sad to say) used it VERY well! The setting is extremely creative, though not fully utilized--and I'd say the same for both the music and humor. Come on, an alternate timeline where an ex-Nazi scientist helps create an extremely advanced city where daily life is nearly perfect, with the player controlling an undead ex-salesman as he decimates it all?? Where does this even come from?!
Yes, the urban, futuristic 1950s setting, while it was certainly new (especially at the time of the game's release), didn't seem to have much of an impact on the game. I'm convinced that there would be very little different if it was closer to how things really were then. One "level" in particular places the player on a farm, and most of the way through, there's practically nothing that would imply that it's in an extremely technologically advanced world. Not that the setting _needs_ to have a major impact on the game, of course, just something I wanted to note.
The music is VERY well done, too! The soundtrack is filled with covers of 1950s-era classics covered by bands that were rather popular around the game's release. The only downside is that they aren't heard very often while playing through the game's story.
One last big thing to bring up: the entire game (on the Xbox, anyway) can be played with another person via local split-screen co-op! Like the option is right there on the menu, and while I haven't given it a try, the co-op trailer makes it look like nothing is changed at all--that you'd just be playing the same game while sharing the screen with a friend. That's probably the best way to handle co-operative play, in my opinion, so it's a much-appreciated inclusion!
In the end, the game looks good, feels GREAT, and is one of my absolute favorite titles for the Xbox! It certainly deserved releases on more platforms, but I suppose it is what it is. It probably isn't worth buying at the prices that one would find a copy for nowadays, but if you find a good deal, know that I have no hesitation in recommending this game. It's a true gem, and one that deserves easier access and many, many more players. Here's hoping that we see those things someday.

Happily reunited with an Xbox masterpiece
The disc and box were clean and intact, but unfortunately (and expectedly), there was no manual included. That's no problem, though. I was able to pick up the definitive release of my favorite Halo game at a very good price; I've since played through multiple times with zero issues.
All in all, the copy that I received was well cared for. If you wish to see information on the game itself, there are several tens of great reviews out there.

Exactly as described
Came in clean and solid, and works exactly as it should. Mine was used (had a little save data still stored), but that was expected, and no issue at all. I'm able to play 360-compatible original Xbox games just fine (my goal from the start), so this receives zero complaints from me.
