this works, but the two metal plugs are thin in equal size Short straight plug in that feels cheap and is cheap.

Antenna's placed low where I keep my hand during a call

I live in a very rural area where most cell phones won't get enough signal to even make a call. This phone will, but only with a blue tooth headset or ear bud where you won't have to handle the phone during the call. If you pick up the phone (open or closed) at all, covering the bottom of the phone, you will drop the call. The antenna is placed in the very bottom of this phone where most people hold it. It is a bit bottom heavy and so it is very uncomfortable to hold it by the top opened half while trying to converse. In town/cities it works great! Plenty of signal, crisp clear reception. I really like this phone and appreciate the larger numbers and screen. The camera is better than any other phones I've had. Gave my Motorola SLV7 to my daughter who like the stereo ear buds and music/iPod aspects of it. She saw my phone and now agrees, there is no comparison!

Great phone!

I bought two of these Z400a's from different sellers because my daughter had lost her Nokia phone and the cost of a replacement phone was unreasonable. She wasn't eligible for an upgrade yet and asked for a flip phone. We live in a rural area where signal is often a problem with a lot of dropped calls on my Motorola V220. My daughter wasn't having any of these problems with her(new to her)Sony Ericsson Z500a. Considering that, I tried putting my SIM in the other (back-up) Sony Ericsson Z500a I had purchased for her and it was a much better phone than mine. It has an internal antenna so there's no chance of my losing it by it coming unscrewed like the Motorola V220 I have had that happen to. I love this phone. Easy menu's and I like the fact that I can record my OWN ringtones! What a savings!The ringtones are loud and even inside my purse I can hear my phone ring! Now my daughter can have my Motorola V220 as a back-up! Only con I can think of is that it is a little larger and thicker phone than the Motorola V220, but unlike the V220 I can actually see the screen in daylight! Bigger screen also! A matter of preference?
