New D-Link N300 300Mbps Compact Wi-Fi Wireless Range Extender DAP-1320

I was reluctant to buy, but I am glad I did.

(Keep in mind this review is written by a 66 yr old who does not consider technology in his home as his highest priority.) My wife and I own a 2 story home and our 4th gen. Apple Airport Extreme (late 2009) router is located a corner bedroom on the 2nd floor. My wife was complaining that some of her favorite web-sites were freezing-up or slow on her iPad while she was in the 1st floor living room (opposite corner room from the router). The D-Link DAP-1320 solved that problem. I am writing this review while linked to the DAP-1320 signal in the living room. I have to admit I did not have an easy time setting-up the DAP-1320. I must have made a mistake trying to pair the DAP-1320 to my Airport Extreme. The on-line D-Link connection set up wizard would not complete its process. After a few failed attempts, I reset the DAP-1320 back to its factory settings. After that, the connection set-up wizard worked. During the three or more weeks the DAP-1320 has been set up, there has been no incidents where I had to reboot or reset-up the unit. Once I plugged it in, I have not touched it or its settings. During this time, our cable company service (internet, phone and tv) went dead for about 6 hours. I did not know at first that the system was down and tried rebooting my modem and router. I did not touch the DAP-1320. After my cable service was restored, my DAP-1320 reconnected on its own and has continued to work. I can not comment on the speed performance except the DAP-1320 is fast enough for our web surfing/video viewing.

Works for me

I’m able to use my old Black and Decker Air Station again with this hose. The hose is air tight when I use it. It is shorter than the original hose which is not an inconvenience for my use.

RAM Mounts are the best!

I have been using RAM Mounts for my boat Lowrance fish finders (from my old X47) and GPS for years. Not one broke or worn out! Highly recommend.
