Not happy with my Celestron 25x100 Skymaster Binoculars
1 personnes sur 8 ont jugé cet avis utile. These binoculars are huge and heavy. Normal 10x50's weigh 1.5 lbs. The 25x100's weigh 9 lbs. It is not possible to hold them like normal binoculars. You need a tripod. A normal camera tripod cannot handle 9 lbs. A specialized parallelogram mount will cost $275+.
My 25x100's would not stay in position for viewing. Once I moved them to match my eye width they would not hold in position and would slowly collapse. I have yet to find an adjustment to set the drag or tension.
The optics are not that crisp. I found plenty of YouTube vids showing how to adjust the internal optics. I did not think this would be necessary on a Celestron product. But you can see all the vids for yourself.
If you expect to use these right out of the box you will be disappointed.
