Useful Tool With Some Caveats

The device was easy to build and worked without issue. There are issues with the potentiometers and their extremes not working properly as well as the DC offset on the signal. If you need a quick tool for function generating and can use an oscilloscope to make sure you have the correct frequency and amplitude, it works well.

Great Reed Switch

Simple to install. I didn't have places to bolt it but liquid nails worked. Easily tied my garage door into my security system.

Inexpensive tool for tinkerers and DIYers

After getting this device I ran it through the paces of checking everything as I was in the middle of a stereo amp repair at the time. So I was able to use the heat sensor to find the mosfet that was underperforming, find the dead diode and capacitor that were causing issues, ensure the signal was reaching the audio point cleanly, and also measure the dB of before and after the fix. The device feels chunky and solid and I had no issues with any of the functions. Unfortunately I cannot tell if it's 100% calibrated since I do not have a more expensive device to test against but everything appeared to be within tolerances. If you can't afford a Fluke, I would definitely recommend this device.
