Works, but with limited reception range.
Was somewhat disappointed to find the IR receiver unit remote had to be positioned within 15 feet of any remote control to receive it properly. With this limitation, and line of sight access from remote control to receiver, the unit has worked flawlessly. Would shop for a more sensitive unit if making the purchase again.

Auto greenhouse vent opener
Have been very satisfied with the 4 units I purchased for my new greenhouse to solve the daily chores of opening and closing the vent windows. However, I wonder what actions will be necessary come hurricane/thunderstorm season, to secure said vent windows from flapping in the breeze. A means for quick disconnect is provided, but requires ladder access to accomplish. Another question in my mind is the vague closing temperature of the units, which is never documented, nor consistently repeatable. Must add the units have never failed to open when air temp was at least 80°.
