Refurbished? Don't be concerned.
8 personnes sur 9 ont jugé cet avis utile. Mavic Pro: It took me awhile to pull the trigger on this purchase because I've always been a little leary of something "refurbished"
I read all the reviews and it was overwhelmingly positive.
If your like me then I'll tell you....just buy it!
It was in pristine condition and all appearances were....it's brand new.
Please go to youtube and watch every video you can find on the mavic pro. Here are some of the best: 51 drones...flytpath...drone valley....ed ricker....captain drone...film poets....there are many more.
This is a very complex aircraft but a beginner can learn fairly quickly by watching the videos. Just don't think your going to be making the beautiful drone videos right out of the box...it takes awhile. Learn to fly first....then worry about the camera. If you have an rc background that will help. If you fly rc helicopters you will have no trouble adjusting to this quadcopter.
Another tip: you MUST register this with the FAA as you will be flying in airspace governed by them.....and yes you must even if you are just going to fly it for fun! It's only 5 bucks and can save you thousands in fines. If your going to shoot video for youtube you must get your commercial license to do that.....even if your channel is NOT monetized. The FAA website is easy to find....just Google it....and follow the instructions.
Extras are a must: number one...more batteries...landing pad....extra props...prop guards...and lots more...watch the videos.
You will need a newer phone (this is how you see all the telemetry of the drone as well as what the camera sees) and an iPhone is best but android will work but can be glitchy. By newer I mean no older than 2/3 years old. There is a list of compatible phones...Google it...and see if yours is on it. Also a tablet is the best...again ipad is best....you will have to buy an additional holder for it...bout 30 bucks...but it is WELL worth it to use a bigger screen than a little phone.
Another must have is a case to protect your valuable drone. They come in prices from 30 to 150 bucks...just get what you can afford.
This may be the biggest tip of all: Do NOT....Don't even THINK about it...fly it indoors...no matter how bad you want to...just get it up....DONT DO IT!!! Fly outside in the biggest....openest field you can find...and leave it in Beginner mode. You can thank me later!
Always check for updates BEFORE you head out to fly....you could use a whole battery updating depending on the size of the update.
Another tip: if your waiting for good weather and you just want to do something with your brand new shiny drone....play with the camera....learn how to use it. Set it up inside in different rooms....set it up looking outside and play with the settings until you can do it in your sleep. This will cut down your learning curve between flying and camera operator.
This is an amazing piece of technology....learn the rules...fly safely at all times and keep your drone in line of sight at all times....it's the LAW!
