Canon SX30 HS Review Very Good camera.
As a very serious amateur I find this excellent except for one feature...it does not shoot in RAW format, just JPEG. I bought it as a gift for a 12 year old starter in photography is that is OK.
Add a polarizing filter for even better images and you too can be happy..
But, also look for a "younger' camera. There are a lot of good brands with later features.

Keyboard
The keyboard is so much easier on the wrists than the straight boards. The hand rest is also great.

Good reading!
Old timey SF that I grew up with I am now 76 and have old memories renewed and remembered.
Would be good for those 12 to 75 years old to have their imaginations tickled.
