Good S52 power steering pump
S52 power steering pumps are very hard to find these days. They're NLA from BMW and none of the big European parts stores seem to have any rebuilt ones available. Took a chance on this one and so far it's working really well. Showed up promptly and looks great. I had previously tried to rebuild my own pump with no success, the vanes of these s52 pumps seem to just fail which is a problem a lot of people run into. Hopefully this works well for years to come.

Dont be fooled by other reviews. It's not a simple or quick insta
4 personnes sur 8 ont jugé cet avis utile. Ok so the lines are easy to install where the old ones were. That took maybe 1-2 hours. Stuff is good quality. Instructions are incredibly vague and could use a lot of work.
The big issue that no one talks about is the plastic fittings. These are nearly impossible to install. All the instructions say is to stretch with needle nose pliers and use grease. With two men holding it and doing that, we could not get the fittings installed past the second Barb. Impossible. I had to use a heat gun and long snap ring pliers to stretch the lines enough to fit. Wasted time on 3 days trying to make this work with no luck. Kept bending and kinking the lines trying to hold them still while pressing the lines in.
Don't even consider starting this job without snap ring pliers and a heat gun. If the instructions had more detail I'd happily give it a 5/5. For $170~ I'd really expect full, detailed, and clear instructions which is not the case.
