Awesome value; awesome music!
1 personnes sur 1 ont jugé cet avis utile. Absolutely great value for this package of the first five Paul Butterfield Blues Band CDs. The sound is good, although I can't say for sure if all has been remastered or not because I never had any older versions.
As far as the music, any blues fan should enjoy these albums spanning the mid to late Sixties. Paul Butterfield exudes cool with his distinctive harmonica and voice as he admired and learned from some of the legends of Chicago blues. I am almost embarrassed that it has taken me so long to fully discover and recognize how good this band was, even though each album has a little different feel starting with the hard-biting guitar of Mike Bloomfield, and then horns being introduced and becoming more prominent in the latter albums. Again, just a great value for this stellar blues band. You won't be disappointed!
