A must own for anyone with a SNES
3 personnes sur 3 ont jugé cet avis utile. This game is very amazing. It's a compilation of all the NES Mario platformers games (the games that made Mario popular) updated in 16-bit graphics along with the very popular and good SNES launch game: Super Mario World. I will break this down in 5 parts (one for each game).
Super Mario Bros.
The Mario game that started it all. The plot is the same in all Mario games: Mario has to save Peach from Bowser. 8 worlds with 4 levels in each. Very fun platformer.
Super Mario Bros. 2
Not really the real sequel to SMB. It's just another game (Doki Doki Panic) with Mario characters thrown in. Still a very fun game, but very different from the real Mario platforming gameplay. 7 worlds with 3 levels in each (except that the seventh one has 2).
Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels
The real SMB sequel. This game was never released in the USA prior to the release of Super Mario All-Stars. It is the same as SMB, with new powerups and enemies and 5 more worlds after beating the initial 8. This game can be very difficult, but it's still just as fun as the other Mario games.
Super Mario Bros. 3
The thrid installment of Mario series. Each of the 8 worlds now have a map that you can scroll through to select the levels. There are also many more levels than in the previous games. Along with places where you can get powerups and minibosses you fight for some powerups/items. There are also an abundant amounts if powerups and items that allow you to throw fire, fly, swim better, skip levels, and skip worlds. There also many many secrets within tha game; some that trigger events. Many people consider this the best mario game ever.
Super Mario World
One of the first game released for the SNES. This mario game is just like Super Mario Bros. 3 only, with new powerups and secret exits that lie between the levels. There are also 2 ways to jump, a sidekick dinosaur name Yoshi that you can use along with Mario, a secret world, and many other things. A very good game that is worth buying on its own included in this already well collection.
With all 5 of with great games in this collection, it is very much worth it to buy this if you have a SNES. No SNES collection should be without it (unless you already have Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario World seperately). This game is absolute must purchase.

Very great game! A must buy!

Graphics: they look good. Not ultra realistic, but it's the Wii, no need to compare it to Crysis for the PC.
Control: The control in this game comes in 2 types:
Wii Wheel Control: This is the new standard fpr Wii racing games. This gives you realistic control as if you were driving a car. It's very cool at first, but it has small amounts of problems. For example, you can get stuck in a wall. This control scheme is appropriate for the game so it's good.
Gamecube control: Although not included with the game, Mario Kart Wii is compatible with the Gamecube controller. If you are used to playing racing games on a controller, then this is for you. Also has problems than the Wii wheel. I like it a bit better but you might not have one.
Gameplay: The racing in this game is very well done, the new tracks are creative, and the old track selection is superb. This is your typical racing game, only with items being thrown around A LOT. The game can be very hard, but it's easy at 50cc. There is abattle mode where you team up with other characters to defeat the other team. Here you dfeat them with items. you can chose from bikes or karts.
The online is very robust. There is a ranking system, there is no lag, battle mode is also online. There are also tournaments .
The game has high replay value with unlockable characters and karts/bikes. This game is very well worth the purchase, wether you are Mario Kart fan or a racing fan.

Worst 16-bit Game Ever Made
0 personnes sur 27 ont jugé cet avis utile. This game is very bad. It's one of the worst games I've ever played in my entire lifetime. I had more fun getting horrible upset stomachs, broken bones, and losing prized possessions than playing this horrible garbage. I don't care how many people *love* this game; It's a childhood nightmare that tortured me when I was younger.
The graphics are nice, not remarkable but good nevertheless. The sound and music is horrendous. Nails on a chalkboard never sounded better compared to the songs in the game. The gameplay is incredibly repetitive. All you do is go around and rescue victims from getting killed. It's simple and sweet for 7 levels but after 12 it gets boring and stale, but it gets very much downhill from here, Especially since most of the levels are the same thing over and over again which contributes even more to the repetitiveness. The game is extremely difficulty but in a bad way, you will meet enemies that will hand your butt to you much easier than you can kill them, as well enemies that stall you, and bosses that are so incredibly broken, you will be asking why did they create it in the first place? The game has no continues and a very limited password system. The game is 48 Levels long but the ending is not even worth all that suffering.
Please do yourself an enormous favor and do not torture yourself playing this bad game. If you want games that will give a great challenge play the Contra or Donkey Kong Country series, their difficulty is more fair and rewarding, plus the music in those games are way better. So are the endings, they will make you feel that you truly earned them. Avoid Zombies Ate My Neighbors because it is just torture in the form of a SNES cartridge,
The reasons why I bought it: One to demonstrate to my friends how terrible it is and two to destroy the horrible nightmare of a video game that plagued my childhood.
