Incredible Workhorse
Replaced a bag full of lenses. Were some of them better at their specific focal length? Sure. But this lens is the only lens I need 95% of the time. And most of the other 5% of the time I'm probably bumping into my own limitation as a photographer and not the lens' limitations. Seriously, there's almost nothing this lens can't do. It stays attached to my D810.

All I Hoped For
This lens has been recommended over and over by a long series of experts whose work I've admired for years. I finally decided to bite the bullet and found a nearly mint example here on eBay. I'll just say this lens is all I hoped it would be and it has filled a hole in my lens bag I was barely aware of. It has become one of two "walk around" lenses. Couldn't be happier with how sturdy the build is and how insanely sharp the images are.
