Good book for new teachers!
This book discusses the many theories to teaching. Tidbits of knowledge that can help you plan lessons and deal with different situations in the classroom is very nice. Some lessons may be a bit too optimistic, but I enjoyed it.

Don't buy the new editions!
I bought this edition, because the 11th is over $100. The 10th is the same thing with a few differences. I don't like this book, because I got it for a Sociology 380 class, and all it did was tell you things you should already know at that level. Stats info is up the wazoo. If you've never taken any stats/soc classes, I guess this is for you. Everyone else....skip it unless required for a class. Make sure you save some cash with the older edition.

Excellent book on Greek history!
A.R. Burn had written this book with a lot of information in mind. It's a bit hard to read at times, but he expected intellectual excellence in his readers. There's more information in one chapter than 4 lectures can give you. This book is outstanding for Greek history buffs. New readers should work their way up before getting this book.
