Rescued a gunked ignition lock cylinder
1 personnes sur 1 ont jugé cet avis utile. Someone had sprayed powdered graphite into the ignition lock cylinder of a used automobile, and the graphite had muddied up. The wafers in the timbler were getting stuck and making it feel like the key was getting jammed up. Carefully sprayed a few brief squirts of Houdini into the cylinder, gently worked the key in and out, wiped a bunch of graphite gunk off the key. Repeat. Wipe off more gunk. Repeat again the next day. Ever since, the key has been working much better in the ignition. Excellent lubricant in a sticky situation.

Make a little go a long way
Cut this single 18"x32" sheet into pieces to dampen two car doors. Obviously not enough material to 100% cover the panel surfaces, but by "pinging" the surfaces and strategically applying Dynamat I was able to dramatically reduce unwanted resonances. This stuff is expensive for what it is, but when applied strategically you can make a little go a long way.

Much nicer than cheapo plastic
Everything else in the bathroom is finished with wood, but when we bought the home it came with a silver-painted cheapo plastic toilet paper roller. This wood roller puts things right, supporting and dispensing TP in glorious harmony with its surroundings. Trips to the bathroom are a wee bit more pleasant now, if you catch my drift. Solid construction, too soon to tell how long it will hold up, but I'm guessing it will outlast me. Fits fine, and the ends have enough expansion that if you needed to taper or cut of the ends to fit your particular installation it should still fit okay.
