Highly Recommend These 3 Christian Romance Stories
Highly Recommend This Book ! It has 3 Stories inside. Each Follows the Walsh family in the Commonwealth of Virginia from story to story. Very romantic Christian stories... There is one about how the wife in the little Virginia cabin made quilts with a house and a chimney ... that showed the slaves running from their masters that the cabin was a safe house for them. A stopping point until the next house....then to freedom in the North. There is another that tells about the bride ships from "mother England" and what a horror it was for the young English girls to stay in the worst part of the boat ...for so many weeks and then when they were finally sold to a man in the colonies... that man could be mean or good. It was a roll of the dice. The English courts sent mostly women whose husbands had died without paying the bills owed ... So instead of putting her in the poor house or prison...they sent these young girls to the colonies.

This book will captivate even students who do not like to read!!! Excellent
This is the best book for 5th grade and older. The tweens and teens loved everything about this book and so did I as a parent/teacher. If your child does not like to read~he/she will love this book. I read this book with a 5th grade class who did not like to read books. Well, they all took out the book from the Library and I actually bought the book for the class. It is about a boy who is in junior high and gets in trouble a lot~like when he draws a picture of the principal as a donkey. His older brother, who did the same pranks when he was in school tells his younger brother to stop it because he really was ruining his life by not taking school seriously. It is a great moral. I give this book 5 stars. These kids that never read books~loved this book and really read through it and even did book reports on it. Andrew Clements really knows how to reach out to tweens, teens and captivates the child's attention. Rose:-)
