Decent P&S, But I Miss My Panasonic!!
Pros: Good looking, durable, nice screen, it has a viewfinder (rare for a compact camera these days) and the viewfinder is not bad at all (!!), quick shooting & flash recharge times (with high speed card at least), decent low-light performance (probably helps they didn't cram 14 megapixels into the sensor, 8 mp is just about right for most purposes without getting TOO noisy(6mp is probably perfect), ISO 800 produces printable shots in many cases, ISO 80-200 produce sharp pictures (in good lighting) Cons: Fatter than other compact cameras (i.e., Canon Powershot SD series, Panasonic FX series, several others), no max ISO setting (like on newer Panasonics), low-light performance not as good as that of Panasonic models I've used (FZ7, FX35) yet better than most Canons I've used (SD630, SD600), noise reduction system a little too aggressive at times, flash is either too bright or too dim (you can change the power level for the flash but it doesn't seem to help - when it's too powerful in normal mode, it's too weak in low output mode), High ISO mode is practically useless unless you absolutely NEED to get a shot - shots are very noisy and details wiped out in this mode, EASY and AUTO modes are TOO automatic and have a hard time analyzing a scene (Panasonic and Canon are MUCH better at analyzing and metering scenes in general), high price (280 bucks for this thing?? i got mine off of ebay for 50 bucks with a minor lens retracting issue, but i would never want to spend even 140 for this)

Amazon Echo Dot - 2nd Gen - Home Music Smart Assistant Speaker w/ Alexa
    04 août 2020
Good Value especially used - Try to get 3rd generation if using for music or in a big room
The 2nd generation Echo Dot is a great device and good value, especially if you find one refurbished; the one I got was supposedly a refurb but looked to be new or at least open box when I got it. The only thing that makes it somewhat obsolete is the existence of the newer 3rd generation Echo Dot, which has better microphones and MUCH better sound from the speakers. If you listen to music a lot on your Dot, I highly recommend ponying up for the 3rd generation Dot. If you don’t use it for music or not a lot, then the 2nd generation is good enough and a much better value. I have mine in a smaller bathroom where it does well; for larger rooms, it can be hard to hear, the microphones don’t pick up voices as well, and it doesn’t work too well for music listening. The bass is lacking and overall sound definition is muddy even if you try adjusting the settings in the Alexa app, especially at higher volumes.
