My Missing Tilley - all round sun protector

This is (possibly) my eighth Tilley, all different from each other, - but this is one is special to me. On a recent trip to start a fortnight’s sailing in The Sporades, Greece, I managed to leave my hat behind after a brief stop around the middle of a four hour bus ride from Athens airport to the island of Evia (recently in the news - wild fires and a crashed plane) for all the wrong reasons. This was a newish T5 with money tucked away in the crown, but no one seemed to have spotted it. A fortnight in the sun without the hat proved to be still enjoyable, but the tops of my ears suffered without the protection of the brim and the sense of shaded eyes was missing. I’m heading out there again in September - looking after this Tilley to avoid any chance of a repeat!

Looks as though I may just have beaten the worst of the weather - these car mats fit well and will be so much more sensible during the coming wet (and perhaps snowy) weather over winter leaving the velour mats safe in the shed!

Safety is paramount

Following an RYA inspection we needed to replace a kill cord aboard a safety boat. This was exactly what I was looking for - OEM with metal clip to avoid UV degradation of the more usual plastic clips on offer. From my research this was around half the price too.
