Great idea but in practice it is an exercise in futility
1 personnes sur 1 ont jugé cet avis utile. The concept of the Hookupz is a great idea but in practice it is an exercise in futility. Adjusting the optics of the phone to align with optics of another optical system is at best difficult and proves to be overly sensitive to even the slightest movement. If the phone camera is off set to either side of your phone then when you attach the Hookupz to the focus-adjustable eyepiece the whole phone and bracket will just rotate causing the image to be rotated or forcing you to hold the phone in place to get a straight image all while trying to concentrate on capturing the intended image. There are also some issues with the eyepiece clamp lock which juts out and interferes with how close the bracket can get to the intended optical system. Overall I would give this version a pass and wait for
1) a bracket that attaches to both eyepieces to prevent rotation
2) a vertical adjustment screw
3) a better phone clasping system which prevents twisting of the phones position in the bracket during alignment.
