Chasing the MD Unicorn

I invested heavily in the minidisc (MD) technology by making live recordings and transferring a lot of my CD collection. I drew the line there and refused to go with MP3. While I love the sound and convenience of the MD, the sound industry moved on, and replacing the equipment has become increasingly difficult. I was so pleased to find this unit in the original packaging and at a "reasonable" price (about 3X its original price). It is working very well and has allowed me to extend the life of my choice to stay with the MD.

A remarkable value

This is the best magnetic acoustic pickup I have encountered in a long time. It is very hot and sounds good. I have not had much experience with the mic yet, but I'm not too interested in it, anyway. When you consider the price, it is a remarkable value. I plan to order the pickup-only version for another guitar soon.

Good solution to a nagging problem

The Ashbory bass is a little cutie, but the strings have been problematic. I've never been able to keep a G string, and, when I opened the base, I found that the D string had broken. These replacements have worked well ( at least, the first one has), but I decided to tune the instrument down a step. If I can learn to play it that way, I will order a new G string (they come 6 to a bag!!), and see if I can go back to a full four strings. I really appreciate finding these items on E-bay.
