Bubsy is Annoying, Boring, frustrating and pointless!!!!

I bought this item as I wanted to see for myself why the critics hate it! As a retro gamer, I felt as though I ought to give it a go (and it was cheap!). This however has to be one of the worst games ever created for the PS1. Now i'll give all games a good hour, after playing this one I was tempted to smash the disc into little pieces... Bubsy 3D is less fun than watching paint dry. There is noooo game play, you wonder around (well the controls are off! - it's more of an jerky amble with frustrating maneuvers) collecting atoms and jumping on (well if you can - he sort of glides alot) and shooting alien beings. Movement is haphazard, you end up jumping all the time to get where you want to. Bubsy 3D uses the third-person, behind-the-character views like the ones you generally get in platform games. There's just not a gameplay hook here. But it's a £D platform so they're all a little like this??? NOOOO! These polygonal worlds are cartoony but extremely sparse - there really is nothing appealing in this game! Not only this, but all the worlds, walls, paths, blocks all look the same so you really have no idea what direction you should be heading in (if you can of course get to grips with the controls). Graphics, Gameplay, Variety, all lacking! In short, just don't bother!!!!

Great for purpose I wanted it for. Doesn't fit together as well as lego and can tell it isn't from handling.
