That Gallant Ship Uss Yorktown Cv-5 by Robert J. Cressm
Plastic scale modeling is my hobby and I bought this book to help me build a 1/700 scale model of USS Yorktown CV-5. It is a very good book and I recommend it to anyone interested in knowing more about this ship or about US Navy carrier operations during World War 2. The subject is well presented, with a clear text covering the ship since its planning stage in the early 30's until the discovery of its remains in the bottom of the Pacific ocean, in the late 90's. All operations in World War 2 are covered in detail. The photos are superb, specially the actions ones taken during the battle of Midway. Well done!

The Last Mission of Battleship Yamato
I am always looking for books about the actions of the Imperial Japanese Navy during the Secod World War and made notice of this one in the bibliography of other titles. The book deals with the last mission of the superbattleship Yamato, that was sent on a one way mission to Okinawa, to counter the US invasion of this island. It is a very good text, full of details and covering both sides, including not only the Yamato mission, but also kamikaze operations, the air battles, aspects of the ground battle in Okinawa and even submarine operations on both sides (US and japanese). There are some minor technical errors, but they do not interfere with the final result - a nice reference for amateur historians.

Another nice book from the Shipcraft series
Excellent book, packed with useful information, photos, technical data and plans. It is not expensive and gives you back all you need to build models of these four old battleships. Very good reference, as the other titles in the Shipcraft series.
