Great battery monitor at the fraction of the cost of more costly units.
It is not perfect, but if you want to pay more than $200 for the same functions, it is up to you. It does what is supposed to do, monitoring current draw and charge of your battery.

Works very well
It does exactly what I expected. Converts the digital Toslink audio to an analog RCA output. Can be powered by any USB port.

Right fit for your old battery
It requires very gentle technique to remove the old battery and install the new one, but once done, the Garmin 1490 gets a new life.
