Solid Improvements...
Coming from a Pioneer DEH-X5500 (a 2012 model - similarly shaped) to this unit (a 2014 model w/Bluetooth), I can tell Pioneer really made some quality improvements over the older model.
Gone are the flimsily felling buttons - power buttons, etc. all now have a solid "push" to them. The menus animations are faster which was really frustrating on the older model with the slow animations - especially when you needed to change something in traffic. Also, the RDS is not retarded anymore, it will actually load up broadcast info without the "NO TEXT" message. And although this unit still doesn't have the wire to automatically control the light dimmer, the dimmer feature seems to dim more then the older model which was pretty bright at night.
Sound quality sounds seems slightly improved, or it could just be a placebo effect. The older unit had pretty decent sound for what it is - both have same specs power and audio wise.
I would defiantly recommend this unit if you're looking for Bluetooth capability and have an older Pioneer unit made in recent years. It has the same harness connection as the older unit and was easily swapped - just plug and play.

0 personnes sur 1 ont jugé cet avis utile. Yeah yeah, all the hype associated with this smelling like something 12x its amount, I get it... However, I've never smelt the infamous Aventus before blind buying this. What I can tell you is that this is just simply mouthwarting in its dry down state. Performance is also good for what it is (EDT). I've noticed too if I spray some on my shirt along with the usual areas on my skin, it seems to boost the performance as far as longevity/sillage is concerned. Case in point, I hung a shirt I sprayed it on back in my closet and could still catch a whiff of it a week later. I would spray it on clothes with caution, however, as it may stain some fabrics.
