Mannix: The Complete Series Season 1-8 (DVD, 2012, 48-Disc Set) US Seller New

A Classic Private Eye Series I Highly Recommend

I like private eye and police dramas from any decade on TV, but particularly the 1970's. Mannix is one of the best and longest running. The extras on the first season disks are entertaining, especially the interview with first season stars Mike Connors and Joe Campanella. Mannix has all the right ingredients for a P.I. drama, and Mike Connors totally owns the role. Gail Fisher is ideal as friend, secretary and receptionist Peggy Fair in seasons 2-8. Mannix has good working relationships with a pair of police detectives portrayed by Ward Wood and Robert Reed. The DVD quality is good. I noticed no glitches (remembering that these episodes were filmed in the late 1960's to mid-1970's and digitized for DVD). I highly recommend the set.

Good Value for Quantity and Variety of Colors

You get your money's worth in quantity and color variety with this package. The sheets were good quality to work with, and I won't run out any time soon.

Hunter: The Complete First & Second Season (DVD) Fred Dryer

"Works for Me"

Hunter was a long running police action drama made totally engaging by Fred Dryer and Stepfanie Kramer as Sargent Rick Hunter and Sargent Dee Dee McCall (nicknamed the "Brass Cupcake" for being a tough female detective). Though the series was consistently good, I'm one of those fans who particularly enjoyed the more action oriented first two seasons, making this a good set to own. Hunter complete series collections are hard to find and very expensive, which is one major reason this snack size collection of episodes is a good value. To quote Rick Hunter, "Works for me".
