bone saddle is not compensated like the photo
if you like getting for the saddle, a piece of bone, simply radiused at the top, then this item is for you. If you expect to receive a saddle that has a B string compensated notch--as in their listing photo, fuggeddaboudit!

great for old Stella, Harmony, Kay acoustics
I use these to dress up the headstocks on many old American brands that came without any tuner post bushings. With these installed (you have to file out the holes slightly for the guitars that came with Waverly or Kluson three in lines) the tuners operate more smoothly, and the look of the headstocks is so upgraded. I stick with the antique brass, to compliment the tone of the brass tuner posts. The chrome ones are too flashy, and look too "new".

Clamshell requires home modification.
bought for the "clamshell". It has a bad approach angle for installing strings, so I compared it to a vintage Japanese one; and ascertained that the inner tines needed to be crushed down with a hammer. Used a magazine, set the thing upside down on a cement surface, and whacked away. After bending the tines, it now works correctly. I would buy again, but I would expect the need to do the same adjustment.
