ASUS P6T DELUXE V2 Motherboard Chipset Intel X58 LGA1366 DDR3 With I/O shield

Works just fine.

Needed a motherboard for a project I'm working on and came across some information on using older hardware such as the X58 platform, having decent performance with the right hardware. Decided to make the move with this motherboard and can't say I'm disappointed. It works without any issues so far as a used board. Backed up and updated the BIOS with ease using the manual from Asus's website. Dropped in a Xeon X5675 (6 core 12 threads) and detects it no problem. Definitely advise removing as much of the bits of dust as best as you can and carefully removing the copper cooling on the board and replace the thermal paste as mine was dried up. You can take it a step further and replace the thermal pads as well. Very important if you plan on overclocking. Temps lowered after doing this. Will provide update after more testing. Would recommend.
