Digital Filox 10 System Fleck 2510SXT Iron, Manganese, Sulfur, H2S water filter

Easy to install, seems to do the job.

I was looking for a new iron filter as the one installed in the house I bought 2 years ago was no its last legs. This unit came with easy to follow directions, was relatively simple to put together and start up. I am pretty competent at plumbing and I put this in along with a new well tank, whole house filter and new piping. My only stumbling block was that the instructions said to add the gravel to the tank first if gravel was included. Well I received two very heavy boxes and opened both. They both contained bags of Filox. I was well into the second bag when I found the bag of gravel under it. Had to pour the Filox out again and then put in the gravel. Then put the Filox back in. Other than that the system seems to do what it is supposed to do, no more metallic taste in the water. I have heard that backwash flow is really important on these so I went with 1" pipe all the way to the valve and stepped down to 3/4" at the last inch.

Poor quality reproduction

This cable is about an inch shorter than the old one and pulls a little tighter than I would like when the forks are fully extended. I guess they saved a little cost by shortening it to the absolute minimum. The outer cable sleeve is also a lot softer and more floppy than my old one. It altogether feels like a cheap knock off of the OE product.
