HARRY POTTER WIZARD CHESS GAME USED COMPLETE

A Nice Fantasy Chess Set - Not much "Harry Potter" about it. Pieces are nice, but hollow and uncapped.

This is a Chess Set based on Harry Potter - but the pieces are not Harry as King on the light side and The King Who Shall Not Be Named on the dark side. They are fantasy versions of the standard King, Queen, Bishop, Knight, Rook, and Pawn. The pieces are large and well molded. I love the fact that the King and Queen both have on armor and weapons - which makes perfect sense as they are actively and directly involved in war. The board is nice enough. It's a thicker game board, not like a cheap throw-away checker board. Again, nothing particularly "Harry Potter" about it. (Which is a good thing from my perspective.) The only problem I have is that the pieces are hollow plastic - thicker plastic, yes, but still hollow and top heavy. (They are several inches tall - most, except the pawns - are well over 3 or even 4 inches tall.) The bottoms are just open holes - no felt, not even a capped plastic bottom. This does mean one could fill them and cap them oneself - if one knows how to do such things. It is a very nice looking and different looking chess set.

Pocket-sized WiFi Tablet for next to nothing!

I bought this device knowing I wasn't going to be able to use it as a Smartphone. But since it has WiFi - it can still function as a pocket-sized webOS tablet. So, email, websurfing, internet radio, music, movies, and more all in the palm of my hand, at least than $30 (which is what I paid) - it's hard to beat. Think of it as an iPod Touch, which sell for over $200. One thing I was disappointed about, no WiFi Skype. So the idea of using this as a WiFi phone is out of the question.

WORLD WAR 5 Conquest Board Game DELUXE GAMEBOARD NEW Looney Labs

Correct WW5 Board (Unlike unbalanced "Pyramid Arcade" version

If you are interested in this - I hope it is because you are familiar with the Looney (or Icehouse) Pyramid game system. If not - google that and then decide if you want to come back. (This board is pretty much worthless without the pyramids.) I was a backer of the Pyramid Arcade kickstarter, and got my copy, and overall was very pleased with it. However, the World War 5 game board included with the Pyramid Arcade was full of errors - making the game highly imbalanced. about half the continents were missing connections - and one actually had one too many. While I prefer the style and size of the Pyramid Arcade version (as well as the other game board on the back) I knew I wanted to have a balanced game play experience for World War 5 - so I bought this. And I'm glad I did.
